The Lord's Taverners

Zeeshan was a talented cricketer.  Following his tragic death we decided that if at all possible something positive should come from such a sad situation.

It was sometime during September 2008 that 11Y decided that donating money to the Lord's Taverners seemed the most appropriate thing to do.

The regional chairman of the Taverners at the time, Keith Bradshaw, visited the school with Ashley Giles and Duggie Brown.  After a coaching session and talk in the hall the school presented a cheque for £3000 (money raised from the school sponsored walk).

Ashley Giles, Dougie Brown and Keith Bradshaw were deeply moved by the school's efforts to raise money.  Keith suggested that we could raise further funds and get a specially adapted minibus donated to a special school or community group in memory of Zeeshan.

This is the aim of the E2E website....to raise enough money to get a minibus donated in memory of Zeeshan Ahmad and do something positive as a community.
